Every cyclist joining the procession .w.ill receive a ticket entitling him to a free oh>anoe, and the drawing will take piece at the smoke social organised, by the Christchuroh Cycling and Motor Club, in the Canterbury Hall, on the night of this event. .•'-. , ■'

The Dunlop Tyre Co. has received advice from tiho Telegraph authorities that tihe concession of having a telegraph station on the Metropolitan Trotting Ground has been granted, and telegrams can be received and despatched on the ground. The station will be gazetted as the Dunlop racecourse. The Auckland representatives, McKay and Ohm, arrived on Saturday, and Jefb immediately to ride over the course. Stewart, the Nelson representative, arrived on Friday, and rode through to Timaru. < In order to give their employees an opportunity of taking part in the Monster Cycle Run and aleo to witness the finish of the Dunlop Race, the cycle trade have deoided to close next Satuav day afternoon from 2 p.m. It is anticipated that there will be a very large entry for the Ladies'- and Gentlemen's Motorcar Driving Competition promoted by the Dunlop Co. on the Metropolitan Trotting Ground next Saturday. The very handsome prize given by Messrs Stewart, Daweon and Co. for the ladies' event is on view in Mr Preece's window, tailor, Colombo street. ■ : . The Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club has been by a large number of unattached young riders in the city with a view or this club promoting a road race of' about 25 miles, for those under the age of eighteen. Should the club agree, an entry list of at least fifty has been promised.
