KAIAPOI MAORI AND CYCLING CARNIVAL.

The Maori and Cycling Carnival, held yesterday at the Kaiapoi Park, was attended by about 4000 persons, and the gato takings were £205 3s 9d. There was a most interesting programme. The Brass Band led a procession to tlie ground, which included Robin Hood and Little John, and other characters, and a number of Maori men and women in native dress followed. The sports were well carried out by an influential committee.
