The report, of the Select Parliamentary; " Committed appointed to enquire into the ' unsatisfactory manner in which tihe last Federal ejections were conducted, hue been tabled. It finds that, though many causes of complaint* , arc said to exist, the Committee cannot find their number or nature such' as to justify the adverse, criticism passed uppn the Chief Electoral Office. The evidence did not disclose any defect in tihe principle underlying the system beyond the need of due inspection of the various officer*, and proper provision for the systematic instruction of officers. The charges of partiality against a number of offioen are not sustained..
