Thia match was concluded at Hagley Park on Saturday, when the A teem won by an innings and 40 runs. On the first. day the B team scored 73 in their fir«t innings, while the A ieam made 112 for two wickete, H. ; E. Lawrence (49) and Whitta (16) being the not outs. Ore reauming Lawrence wa*.soon dismissed, but C. W. Garrard asatated Whitta to> take tho score to 157 before, the newcomer was disposed of. Wheotley soon left, and with 181 on the board Whitta whs ..bowled for a well got 42. Of the others. Costclloe and Pearce alone reached double figurea, and the innings closed for 207. Anthony waa the most successful of the bowlers tried, and the fielding waa an improvement on that shown on the 6rst day. The B team began their second innings 134 runa to the bad, but they never looked . like caving on innings defeat, and batting two men short they were got rid of for 94. Seven men were out for 42, but, Tolan and Weston added 22 for the eighth wicket, and the former and OTerrell increased the score by 25 before Tblan was caught for a well got 23.
