SATURDAY'S MATCHES.

SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. UNITED v-SYDENHAM.' This match was brought to a conclusion at Hugley Park, when tho United won by 83 runs on tho first innings. The weather Mas fine, but the rain which had fallen during the week made tho wicket dead, and consequently tlie scoring was low. On the opening - day tho United had completed their firet inninga for 153, while Sydenham had lost four wicketa for 36. Bennett (10) and Kinvig (6) continued the lattcr's innings, but with only 2 runs added, the former waa stumped, and as Egan was bowled first ball six wickets were down to 38. Tho next three men were quickly disposed of, but Fowke and M'Murray added 20 for the,last wicket, and the innings waa brought to' a closo for 70. Fisher again bowled well for the United, whore fielding was good all round. The United began their eecond innings with Weston and Ollivier, but theabatsmen found wns us difficult to make as their opponents had, and after a dozen had be*:i (icpre'd off seven overs, Ollivier waa dia posed of by ' M'Murray.
