Richard Dibbs was born at Sydney on October 12th, 1834, <u>d married in 1857. He was educated at St. Philip's Church of England School and Dr.' Lang , * Australian College. He was fir«t elected to Parliament for West Sydney, in 1874, was Treasurer and Colonial Secretary of New South Wales in 1883, Premier and Colonial Secretary and Premier and Treasurer 1885, Premier, and Colonial Secretary 1886, 1889, and 1891-4. He was a volunteer for about fifty yearn., His title was conferred on him in 1892.----Bir Geo. Dibba had been ailing for some time, and hie death was expected.] (Received August stb, 10.56 pjn.)
