OBITUARY.
MB A. P. TUITON. l -Mr Albert Poole Tutton, a well-known I and much-reepcotod nddcut of Rangiora, died lost evening after a lingering il-K_ir. ' The late Mr Tutton was bom at Biddi* J -ham, in fiomerscts-hire, England, in 1854. : He was 'educated at Cross Middle Oass | School, nearAtbridge. His fcther jvos an , English fanner, but Mr Tutton waa brought j up to mercantile life, which he followed till c coming to Lyttelton in the chip "Border j Cliief" in 1876. For tho first two years W- t hi* colondal life Mr Tutton was salesman , in the menyntile department of Messrs Edwaads, Bennett and Co., Chriwtcliurch, < but he then settled in Rangiora, and entered < into buiinefe as «n auctioneer and grain j merchant. He told tliis busineys to Mes«n» I Conway Mntson and Sons, and took to < farming,.but- recently «old his farm al*o on t eccount of ill-health. As a Freemason the t eceased once filled the roaster's chair, but f was unattached nt the time of his death, t Ho was a member of tlie Nortliern and c Canterbury Agricultural and Pa&taral As- 1 sociations, and served for some time on the 1 committee of the Northern Association, t Mr Tutton was married, in 1878, to a * daughter of Mr F. Bosch, Rangiora, and leaves two sons and seven daughters. '
