DOMAIN BOARD.

The Christchurch Domain Board met at 2 p.m. yesterday. Present—Mr H. P. Murray-Aynsley (chairman), Hon. C. C. Bowen, Hon. H. F. Wigram, Mr H. G. Ell, M.H.R., and Mr W. Jacques. In addition to the eeata presented, Mr Eli reported that he had received 21s each from Messrs Ballantyne and Co.«"iind O. Bonniugton, and Si from Mr T. Kincaid towards the cost of naming plants in the Gardens. . Accounts totalling £8317 i3d were pawed for payment. The head gardener , * report was.received. A report .to be submitted to the Minister for loads, showing the position of the Domain, was approved, and ordered to be forwarded. The statement of receipt* and expenditure for the year ending December 31st, 1903, tv read by the treasurer, showing receipts £1247 19s 9d, including £46 17e 6d brought forward; rents of pastures £505 7s 9d, sales of firewood £251 16s, sale of hay £4 10s, grant* from Board's trustee* £342, Christcbiircu Magnetic Observatory for labour £43 8s 6d,. cricket clubs' rent £27, and license fees for playing polo; football, etc, £27. The expenditare- mi £1161 19s 2d, leaving a balance of £96 o*7d. .
