Association at Ma:-sfield, advified his hearers to give the cold shoulder to the bookmakers. He enjoyed much pleasure from his twenty years' connection with the turf, but in betting a man lost half the enjoyment besides large sums. With the best horses and the beet information it was impossible to win at betting. A DYNAMITE EXPLOSION. (Received January 12th, 5 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 11. A dynamite explosion in the Zeyesea mines, m Mexico, killed twenty-three people and injured fifty-four. THE HOTTENTOT REBELLION. , (Received January 12th, 10.26 p.m.) ! CAPETOWN, January 12. The Hottentot rebellion (in German South-west Africa) is ended.
