PERSONAL ITEMS.
Mr M. Nathan, of London, is at present on a- visit to Canterbury. Mr and Mrs Harry Weir arrived in this city on Saturday. Mr G. Jameson, Mr A. B. Morgan, and Mr and Mrs John Mundell (Timarn), went South by the express yesterday morning. The Rev. Mr Lancaster arrived in town yesterday. Mr and Mrs W. G. Rylands (Wellington) are on a visit to Christchurch. Mr Sproul and Mr Grady have arrived in the city. Mr Martin, of Dunedin, is at present on a visit to Christchurcn. Mr H. H. Jackson, Locomotive Engineer, went south bv vesterday's express. Mr G. Campbell, Mr A. Owen, Mr H. F. Lane, and Mr W. H. Derry arrived in town by last night's express." The congregation of First Church, Invcrcargill. last night decided to call the Rev. R. Ferguson, of Devon port, Auckland, to bo their pastor. The. Presbvterv will deal with the matter to-day. Mr R. Acton-Adams "and Mr N- J. Burke were passengers by last evening's Culverden train.
