AGRICULTURAL SHOWS.
The entries for the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Show, to be held tomorrow, are 850 for 664 exhibitors. The Ground Committee will meet to-day to make arrangements for the reception of stock. A special train leaves town tomorrow fur the show. Several novel jartractions are offered. The entries received for the forthcoming show of lb" Ashburton A. and P. Association s! IU - y * substantial increase. The totals Die implements and extra exhibits * ird 110 1 yet available. The numbers reec' rf< * bp to the present are as follows: —Sheep 245. cattle 85, horses 335, horse shoeing 26, pigs 29. dogs 14, dairy produce 118. small birds 5, poultry 110. ’ Entries and applications for space for the Courtenay Show are coming in freely. Mr Rattray has the catering, Mr C. \V. Bourne the publican's booth, and the Burnham Band will supply music.
