During thn hearing of a cans at Lambiti County Court in London recently, it mx stated in evidence that the hansom tsif irt'jAe was always bad in London in Lent —people in tha Wt*l End and r-lse-vhcre" •'fusfin-; and mortifying themselves br instead of driving." Judge Eradfn ox]T«ssed surprise at the statement. Witness: "Year by y<sar it. i? getting worso. Ay"c find the different* immediately Lent is over."
