Sho arrived nt Lyttelton at 6.30 a.m. on Saturday, and left for Dur.cdii. at 3.15 p.m. Tho Hotomahana arrived frcm Wellington at 8.20 a-m. on Saturday, and left for Wellington at 9.13 p.m. Tha Tarawera arrived from Dunedin at 8.45 a.m. on Saturday, and left for Auckland via the east coast «tt 7.10 p.m. Tho Wha-'gapo arrived from Wellington at O.S.i a.m. on Saturday.

The C. Tobias sailed' for Levuka en Friday afternoon.

Tho Waipoti left for Westport on Friday night. The Bo'inorel loft for Dunedin at 4.10 p.m. on Saturday. The Hawea arrived shortly after midnight yesterday with 2080 sheep and 1000 pigs from Napier. The Turakina arrived from London via Wellington at 7.45 a.m. yesterday. Tho Penguin arrived from Nelson and Wellington at 1.40 p.m. Captain McArthur is in command.

The Joseph Sims sailed for Ne/lson at 3 a.m. yesterday. The Karamea arrived from London via. NewZealand ports et 7 a.m. yesterday. She brings no cargo for Lyttelton. bnt will take in frozen meat and general cargo, leaving here probably on Thursday for Wellington, her final port of departuro for London. Sho took in at Tininru 43.000 carcases of mutton, a record for that port. Captain Burton is still in charge. Tlie only changes among the officerg aTo' that Mr McNeir is in place of Mr Daniels, fourth engiaieer, and Mr Hodges has fciicceeded Mr Morgan as chief steward. Captain Forbes still commands the Turakina-, and tiho only changes amongst the officers are Mr J. Shoro Nye is second officer instead of Mr Wingatc, nnd! Mr Lane is chief refrigerating engineer instead of Mr Hayes. Shortly after the Turakina left Capetown, Mr Grimmond, the carpenter, died on board.

Tho steamer Ova.au arrived at Timaru on Saturday morning. She discharged 30 tons of general merchandise, .and after taking in 300 tons of produce, left on Saturday evening for Wellington and West Coast ports. Tho s.s. Gracchus, of tho Currie line, sailed from Calcutta on the 2nd inst. for New Zealand via Singapore and Eastern ports. She will be followed, in- May by the s.s. Darius, loading at Calcutta and calling at Singapore for Now Zealand ports direct.
