MEMORIAL LYCH GATE,
Yesterday afternoon there was a large attendance at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Woodend, for the dedication of a lyeh -gate to the memory of the late Hon. H. B. Gresson, who was for many years Cteroefllor of the Ciiristehurcli Diocese, and who lived near Woodend. He died in January last year, and was buried with his wife in tlie Woodend churchyard. He w_,? for a long time n churchwarden and lay reader at St. Barnabas, and the lych gat. was erected as a ■ memorial to him by the parishioners and friends. The Bishop of Christchurch. who was attended by the Rev. J. Holland, vicar, and Mr T. McDonald, churchwarden, dedicated the memorial. !Sul>sequently his Lordship preached at, the evening service, and referred in warm terms of appreciation to the great worth and high character of the late Mr Gresson.
