It is not anticipated that Captain Colbeck will receive instruction*, from headquarters regarding the Morning*, future movements until about the end of the present nie.nth. In the meantime-, it in just po*-_ib.e that the Discovery will be able to get, out of th*.* ice, all i.iat is required to affect that desired consummation being a ver- heavy noitli-west gale. If thin happens, it is quite possible that the Discovery will bo in Lyttelton before the end of tho present month. Bishop Julius lunched with the officers yesterday. Two or three cablegrams were received on board yesterday, but none <_ theni was of importance. The crew were engaged in cleaning out the fresh water taiil-l and unshipping the rudder, which is to be fitted with a new clamp.
