New South Wales Government Railway stock, valued at £20,000, has been salvaged from the barque Fingal, which was wrecked off the Irish coast while making a voyage to Sydney. BELATED CO.MPENS ATION . China has paid Great Britain £60,C00, with 5 per con-1. interest added, as compensation .for tho loss of the steamer Kowshi-ng, which, in 1894, was sunk by a Japanese cruiser while under charter to the Chinese Governmert. THE IRISH LAND BILL. A three days' Nationalist Convention has been summoned in Dublin to consider the second reading of the new Irish Land Bill, which will be taken <arly in May. AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE INVITED IN PARIS. PARIS, March 30. The Paris* Central Markets, with a cold storage capacity of 220,000 cubic feet, have been opened. The promoters are inviting consignments of Australian produce.
