It is expected that the Resves'a Proprietary Company s dredge will recommence operation* on Friday. Hγ C. L. Russell, secretary of the Montgomery's Terrace Hydraulic Sluicing Company, telegraphed yesterday to Mr G. B. Ritchie, chairman of directors, that the dam has been finished, and that the valve* were expected to be in position to-day. Active operations should commence in a few dayi. The secretary of the Staiford-Waimea Company reports that the directors have purchased the Great Woodstock dredge, and also that the company's original dredge has been closed down.
