FIRM OF WAREHOUSEMEN FINED.
United Press Association—By Eleotrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 28th, 8.52 p.m.) BRISBANE, March 28. The jury in the case against Robert Reid and Co., warehousemen, charged with supplying false customs invoices, after being locked irp all night, answered tho whole nineteen counts in plaintiff's favour. The Customs Department did not press for the full penalty. The Judge said that as this was the first conviction, ho would lix tha penalty at lifty pounds. If tiie defendants were again convicted ihe full penalty would be imposed. The hearing yf the case occupied twenty. six days. A strong bar vas engaged on o.ach side.
