In the House of Commons Mr Will Crooks, the newly-elected Labour member for Woolwich, gave notice of his intention to move that, in order to give Labour representatives a, chance, it is desirable that election charges t» defrayed from the public funds, and that all membeis of the House of Commons receive a reasonably stipend.
