THE LATE MR W. P. COWLISHAW.
The funeral of tlte late Mr W. I. Cowlishaw took place yesterday afternoon, and was largely attended. In addition to repri'sentativea from the various business establishments with which Mr Cowlishaw had been, connected, there were present a number of members of the local Law Society, of which body tho deceased was a member. The funeral cortege left Avonside shortly after two o'clock for the Avoneide cemetery, where the interment took place. The service, both in the church nnd at tbo graveside, was read by Rev. Canon Pascoe. The bearera were Messrs W. B. Cowlishaw, T. Cowlishaw, and%. I. Cowlishaw (sons of the dece.-used), J. B. Fisher, J. D. Hall, and J. il. Turnbull. Mrs J. D. Hall, Miss Cowlishaw, Mrs Turnbull, and Mrs F. Cowlishaw were present. A number of wreaths had been sent, including those from th« directors and staff of Planning and Co., the directors of the CUrLstcliurch " Prens " . Company, the stall of the ChrfaUrhurch " Press " Company, the staff of Garrick and' Co., the Canterbury Jockey Club, the Christcburch Gaa Company, the Canterbury Rowing Club, the staff of Ashhy and Co., Limited, and the staff of Shnnd and Co.
