There was a moderate attendance at the yards. In the stock yards there was un entry of 3000 sheep, 80 cattle, and 50 pigs. The market was dull,' owing to harvesting going on. Prices were:—Fat lambs 12s 9d to 13s 4d, fat ewes lis 9d to 15s, two and four-tooth ewes and wethers to 16s 3d, fat merino ewes 10s bd, store lambs 8s to 10s 7d, four and sixtooth ewes 15s 6d, two-tooth ewes and wethers to 14s 3d. Cattle—Beef equal to 27s 6d per lOOlb, fat steera to £8 10s, stores £7 12s 6d, dry cows to £8, springers £7 10s to £8 15s, young cattle £3 2a 6d to £4 2s 6d, milch cows £8 to £10, aged sorts £3 to £4 Ss, calves to 255. Pigs—Buconers 35s to 545, porkers 27s to 40s, suckers 10s to 16s 6d. In the produce yards:—Heavy sheepskins realised 3s 2d to 3s 7d, merino do. 3s 6d to 3s lid, lighter skins 2s 3d to 2s lOd, pelts lOd to ls 4d, fat ljd to l|d lb, hides 2Jd to 3id, hens 2s to 2s Bd, roosters 3s to 4s 7d, ducks 3« to 3s 9d, chick wheat 4s 6d to 4s lOd bushel, barley 3s, oats ls 9d to 2s, grass seed Is 6d, meal 10s sack, oatsheaf chaff 80s to 85s ton, potatoes id 16.
