BURGLARIES IN AUCKLAND.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TEI-ORAM.) AUCKLAND, September 12. Burglars yesterday morning entered Hooker's store in Symonds -street, and escaped with £40 worth of tobacco, open - ing the door with a skeleton key and 'padding the alarm bells. Six years ago robbers sin-lariy stole £60 worth. A youth named Johnston, 16 years of age was arrested early this morning for attempting to break into the premises of John Low, a draper, at Devonport.
