The final match for the gentlemen's medal competition under the anspices of the Ashburton Golf Club, was played at the links on Thursday' afternoon, and was closely contested, Mr H. H. Fooks . being the winner. The following were the scores:— H. H. Fooks, 88 (2)—€6; J. S. Tehnant. 92 (4)—88; C. D. Hardie, 95 (6)—89; D. Wood, 96 i»cr)-«6.
