MEETINGS, ENTERTAINMENTS, 4c. i_>i The quarterly meeting of the North Canterbury Branch of the Methodist SundaySchool Union was held in the Sydenham Schoolroom on Monday evening, about 90 representatives sat down to tea, which was provided by the teachers of the Sydenha__ Sunday SchooL At the after /meeting, which was over by Mr J. A. Flesber (president of the Union), a discussion took piaoe over the time and place for holding training classes for te_c_ers, and ultimately it was decided to hold a central class at the East Bait School, on the third Monday of the month. The Rev. W. Lee introduced the question of "The Teachers' Visitation of their Scholars," w__eh*_roused considerable discussion. At tbe Lyttelton Club on Monday, the progressive euchre match resulted in ____. Murray winning the ladies' prize and Mr C Shepheard that for gentlemen. Mr T. A.
