As will be wen by a notiacation, th* Worlds Entertainers, a company in which all tbe artists have been brought either from England or America, will commence their season here at tha Theatre Royal on Monday next, 26th rest. The feature of their performance is tint it is w.hat is known in America as "polite Vuudeville,".all the performances being entirely free from anything of a suggestive nature. The items .given are said to be" bright; attractive, and absolutely up-to-date. The organisation, which » under the direction of. Messrs Lee and Rial, includes Chas. R. Sweet, known as the musical burglar; Kelly and Ashby, acrobatic comedians; Josephine Gussman and the Louisiana piccaninme* ; the casino tno musical burlesque assists; Professor Powell, magician and illusionist; Arthur Nelstone and Elsie Forrest, song and dance artiste; Agnes Mahr, danseuse; the Mahr Sisters, dancing comediennes; Miss Prances Gwynne, balladist; and Mr Geb. Lyding, tenor vocalist. Mr Joe Brown is here in advance of the company, and the plan of reserved scats for the season opens on Wednesday next at Musrs Milner and Thompson*.

* THE VAN BURG COMPANY. Th? Van Burg Company staged a new piece on -Saturday night, entitled "The Sixth Commandment." The leading parti, were token by Mr George Coppin an d Miss Millie Collier. The audience was a crowded one, and was ntost appreciative. "The Sixth Commandment" will be repeated this evening. X'he Van Burg Company No. 2 will perform at. Kaiapoi on Wednesday, and at Rangioru on Thursday next.
