ARRIVAL OF THE MEN IN CHRISTCHURCH.

The- Southern members of the New Zealand Sixth Contingent, which „ has just returned from Souta* Africa, arrived in Lytterton from 'Wellington at about 6.30 on Saturday morning. The men were received in Lyttelton by Captain H. S. E. Hobdny, District Adjutant, who arranged for the forwarding of the men and baggage to fcbo different destinations. The men b&haved in a most orderly manner, and Captain Hobdaywas very pleased with, their conduct. Fifiy-eight men -were sent South by the expreea on Saturday morning, while 22 will be leaving to-day. Fifty-one of the men belong to Dimedin, one to Springfield, onft to East Orford, two to Kaiapoi. two to Lyttelton, one to Wahnate. two to Teinuka, two to Hampden, three to Pnimerston, one. to Prebblebon, tea to Timaru, one to Ashburton, and three to Oanwrii. Captain Tucker, of Aehburton. and Sur-geon-Captain, O'Neiil accompanied the men. A number of friends of the nwn wore on the platform when the express left, and hearty cheers were given a« the train steamed out.
