Scat of Ww, AKTHUK c. g. moml City Council Chambers, 7th 9933 CHRISTCHUIiCH CITY ABATTOIR^ IT is hereby publicly notified that V&o following resolution was adopted by the Christchurch City Council at a Special Meeting of the said Council held on the 24th day of March, 1902, at 7.15 o'clock p.m. : — That ifi pursuance of the powers end authorities vested in them by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1300, the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, I<KX>. the Loc*l Bodies Loans Act, 1901, and all other • - powers and authorities thereunto enabling them, the Christchurcli City Council (the said City containing a population of not less than two thousand persons}, hereby resolve to raise a Special Loan of fifteen tboussml pounds (£IS,OCC) for a period of thir*y-two years, by the issue of one hunda'j and fifty (150) Debentures for the sum of One Hundred Pounds (£1CO) each, payable .to boarer, and carrying interest at the r.tfe of £[ per centum per annutt, payable half-yearly for the undermentioned undertaking: — To establish on Abattoir for the City of Christohurci nnd the contiguous "di»tricts of Linwood, St. Albans, New Brighton, Sydenham, Simmer,- and Woolston, in common pursuant to the provisions of the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900. ■ . ... The plans of the said works and lite thereof have been approved by, the Minister for Agriculture pursuant to the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900 Section 8. That in addition, to the Abattoir to be established out of -the said Loan money, the revenue to bo derived therefrom* and other the security provided by Section 322 of the Municipal Corporation,* Act, 1900, the Council pledges as security for such Loan & special annual recurring rate of three-farthings in the £, to be levied upon a nntfoim scale npon the nnmiAl ratcnble value of the whole of rateable property within the City of Christchurch,' as appearing,in the -valuation roll from time to) time, and for the time being in force, payable on the loth day ot June in oach year, until the whole of the said ioan with interest he paid off and discharged. .. . ~ The said Loan and the said Debentures ehall have a currency of ; thirty-two years, md toe rep.ayab.'e on the 10th day of June, 1934.
