She left Wellington at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and was delayed five and a half hours getting through the Stiaita, beating against » heavy sou-west wind and head seas. She arrived at Kaikoura about noon, when the weather moderated somewhat. _In consequence of her late arrival, her departure for Dunedin has been postponed till to-ctay.
