Suva last night, fell in with the gala&whjcli . has been raging here for the past two or three days, and, in fact,. throughout tha whole voyage tempestuous weather was encountered. During a hurricane-on Sunday some cases of orangcH, which were stowed on deck, were soaked through by the mountainous waves which washed the decks throughout the three days the hurricane lasted. Seas were contmnaUy coming down the companion way, and doing much damage to the cabin carpets, besides breaking crockery and' damaging bfchcr perishable goods. When, the hurricane rras at ite fierceet on Monday the Taviuni was unable to continue on her course, ami was compelled to run before the wind. TowaVds noon yesterday the. weather moderated! ;
