MAGISTRATES ' COURTS.
In the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr JR. Beetham, James Wilson, charged with drunkenness, was fined 3,05, or in default 48 hours' imprisonment. CONSORTING WITH REPUTED THIEVES. Michael Fogarty was charged by the police with habitually consorting with reputed thieves," Mr Donnelly appearing for the defence. Evidence was given by Detectives Chrystail, Fahey, Bai w >, and Sergeant Sheehan, while several witnesses were called for the defence. Mr Beetiham said the case had been clearly- proved. Accused had' a long list of previous convictions, which showed him to be a dangerous character. A sentence of three months' imprisonment was inflicted. . REFUSING TO LEAVE LICENCED PREMISES. John Mills, who on March sth refused to leave the CavertoUram Hotel when re-' quested, was fined 20s and costs. MAINTEN(AINiC3E. WflCiam Gfflberfc Eldred (Mr Donnelly), charged with, failing to provide for mc support of an illegitimate child, was admitted to bai£, £50 and one surety of £50, the case .being adjourned till April 15th.
