LIEDERTAFEL CONCERT.
The Herren Abend given last Bight by the Liedertafel was very successful. Several of the officers of the Discovery were present on the eve of their departure. The vocal solos were aH exceJlenty given. Mr Barber, who made his debut as a soloist, sang "Wiien you Eeturn'" nicely. Mr Millar gave "Vulcan's Song ,, well, and for an encore "Father OTlyna." jvlr B. S. Collier was beard to great advantage in "ALlsa Mine, ,, and for an encore he sane "Mdily Bawn" with much auccess. Mr Barkas''gave "Barbara Allen" excellently, responding .to an encore witih "The Nortb. CfetKUtree.'' Mr F. M. Collins sang "The Lightning King" well, and wae encored. The conductor, Mr Wallace, played a violin solo, Hansen's "Rhapsodic Hongroise," with much artistic pow»r. For an encore he gave a pretty "S6remade." The part songs were ati given in a manner deserving high commendation. Mr H. M. Reeves has not been -beard to better advantage €han in the solo in Abt's "On the Water." The nmriber wag deservedly encored. Mr Wallace conducted, and Mr A. J. W. Bunz played the accompanatoente. <
