The Aseembly is holding protraoted sittinge with a view to the Cbrkftonas adjournment to-morrow. In reply to a question whether be had noticed a cable message stating that the New Zealand Treasurer had referred to the floating ,of the New Zealand loan as very satisfactory, considering that tnro millions of U»e New South Wales loan was still unplaced, the Premier said there was no truth whatever in tbe statement that two millions were unplaced. The New South- Wales Government did place a four million loan on the market, which was taken, up, and was a great Buocess. They had not placed, and did not intend to place, another loan on the London market at present, ac they could get locally all tbe money required- .
