ALLEGED ARSON IN WELLINGTON.

Henry Smith, a wharf labourer, was arrested yesterday on a charge of setting fire to an empty dwelling on Cambridge Terrace, next to the one in -which 'he iv;is lodging. The evidence at the Magistrate's Court was to the effect that accused bad had unpleasantness with his landlady, and had lately threatened to burn down "her house; that* he was seen to enter the empty house an Monday evening; that a fire broke out just afterwards: and that kerosene was found to have been sprinkled about. Accused was reminded till Friday.
