Hie Excellency the Governor and Lady Ranfnxly arrived in Wellington yesterday by the Tutanekai.
Dr. Btjtemeot, of Maeterton, went on to Dunedin by yesterday morning's express. Mr J. Simpson, Manager of Bruce Woollen Mills, with Mrs Simpson, returned from England yesterday.
Mr W. P. Cowlisha,w, Mies Cowlishaw, Mr O. G. Stead. Mrs Stead, Miss Stead, Mr W. Stead, Mr W. H. Gaw, and Mr E. W. Roper left for the North by the Tarawera last nigh*. Archbishop Redwood, Mr A. C. Hanlon, and Mr H. Purdie arrived from the South by (the express last night. Mr and Mrs F. M. Renner, of Wellington College, arrived by the Tarawera yesterday. Mrs Kennedy was a passenger for Gisborne, and the Rev. F. G. Brifctan a passenger for Auckland by the Elingamite ve»terday. , Mr A. J. Ker (Duwdin), Mr H. A. Wynter Blathwayt, Mr E. G. Wright. Mr Pearoe (Wellington), Mr Cooper (Wellington), Dr. J. Hundhausen, Dr. A. Heim, Biuon Hichens, Mr H. H. Cook, Mr Ronaldson (Hokitika), Mr W. Christie, and Miss Johnson are in town. The Minister for Lands is a passenger by the Rotomahana, which left Wellington last night for Lyttekon, en. route to Oamaru.
