MANDEVILLE AND RANGIORA.
The Mandeville and Rangiora Boad Board met- on December 13th. , Present—Messrs Horreil (chairman), Dalsiel, Stalker, and Leech. Mr Moir -offered £6. towards the cost of concrete pipe* at the «nd of Todd's road, and a subsequent latter was received withdrawing the offer. The surveyor reported the bridge had been broken on December 4th, and an offer o? £4.10s acoepted to take up the bridge and fill up the drain. The secretary of the Waikuku Domain Board reported sinking an artesian well, and it was decided a grant of £& be. paid for same. Mr J. Bampier-Croesle* - was granted leave to plough side of North road. It was decided that the clerk, Mr Marshall, be the officer to whom infections disHwe* be reported. It was stated that Mr Short had been appointed a Gmnmiseioner to report on contributiona to Ashley bridge. The Board decided to apply to Rangiora and Kaiapoi for grants to suppression of small birds. A tender for dog collars (6d to 6Ad) was accepted. Ajcconnie amounting to £236 8s 2d were passed for payment.
