DOMAIN BOARD.
The New Brighton Domain Board met on Monday night. Present—Messrs Winwr (in the chair), Bellamy. Foster, Walker, De La Mare, and Wyatt. The Chairman reported that the j-üb-committee have visited the Domain, and had inspected the -work done and the improvement* suggested to be made-. The- damage done b~y the late fire wa» not so extensive as had been, anticipated, and the Committee suggested that as much money &&' possible should ha expended in clearing away the undergrowth and lopping the lower branches off the trees. The deciduous trees planted daring the past season had been very successful, yith a very few failures. After discussion! in which the serious aspect of a "ure occurring in nor'-wetst weather vms pointed out, it was decided to apply to the New Brighton Borough Council for an additional grant of £15. The Board then adjourned.
