Colonel 7 Gorringe captured,' court-mar-tialled, and shot several of Smuta'a khekiclad commando. Th« Blow progress of the campaign in Cape Colony is attributable to 2600 rebels, -who are constantly scattering and re-uniting over an are* extending from Herschel to O'Okief, from Montague to the Tnunked. Thirteen more Boer leaders have been exiled. Colonel DawJdns captured three laagers and fifty prisoners at Nylstroom, including three field-cornets and Schutte, late land3msfc of Pretoria. Major Daman dispersed a strong force'at Villtendorp, killing several and capturing 20. The Government are re-enlisting Imperial Yeomanry, and many ex'members of colonial corps are joining.
