Tuesday's sale at Tinwald was poorly attended although there -were large entries. Owing to the .scarcity of feed, however, "bidding was slow, and nearly all the store sheep "were passed in. Beef was very scarce, cows ranging from £5 2s 6d to £2; while fat heifers were sold at £5. Other prices were:. Two-year-old heifers, £4 10s; springers, £4 10s to £4 15a; young cattle, £2 to £2 17s 6d; crossbred ewes for butchering purposes ranged from 13e 4d to 16s lid; crossbred wethers, from 15s 3d to 17s, and. merino wethers from 13a Id to 14» Id.
