Tbe cricket and bowling season opened to-day in perfect weather.- In tbe match. * Dunedin v Albion, the latter scored 68, Hunter, an Auckland player, being the top scorer with 18.. J. Wilkie captured six wickets for 3 runs, taking four wickets in.five balls. At 5.30 Dunedin had responded with seven wickets for 70 (R. Wilkie 16). Carisbrook B had six wickets down for 100 against Grange.
