YESTERDAY EVENING'S WEATHER REPORT.

No-,v Plymouth—Wind, 8., fresh; baro., 30,03 1 therm., 60; drizzle, sea moderate. CastlepoinP-Wind, HT.W., light; baro., 09.85; therm., 70; fine, sea -moderate. , We.lington—Wind, ' N.W., fresh; baro., 29.U3; therm., 65; cloudy. Westport—Wind, ST.E-, breeze; baro., 29.91; therm., 65; cloudy, eoa moderate. Kaikoura—Calui; baro., 29.84; therm., GO; gloomy, sea smooth Biutf— Wind, E., fresh; baro., 529.74; therm., 56: fine. Captain Edwin telegraphed:—"Northerly gales aie to be expected at all places northward of Timaru and Queens'town, and' westerly gales elsewhere.' Kain. is probable in most parts of the country. .Low pressure from the west is near the meridian ot the South Cape, and has decreased in energy, but there are evidences* that another will pass eastward on the 17th. The low pressure in the Tasm&n Sea is decreasing in energy."
