A sticce*efn! congregational social was held a* WooJston Methodret Church on Tuesday. Tie reports presented spoke of success in every department <d Church work. During the evening Mr J. W. Hillary was preeentedl with a bea«t*ftri oak roller desk on behalf of the members and adherents of the church.
Tbero wo* a> large audience last evening at tne Opera House, when the Dix Gaiety Company repeated their programme euccoswjully. The exceedingly clever act of Riano, Johnston and BenUey, the dancing of the Galardi sisters, and the singing of Mr Waflaoe Kiug Teamed special recognitioa at Hie hands of the audience. The iteeu of the obhw membere of th& Company irere also well received. To-night •will be the last of the present programme, a change being given to-morrow evening. Mies Irene Franklin is announced to appear on Monday.
