Sir_.'- —If you h wijl kindly grant mc space in yoUr paper to make a suggestion re bands , playing on the rotunda, I would like to I suggest to the City Council that they take a vote of t-he city ratepayers (they being the ' ppople that have to pay for this music) for which band is to play on the rotunda, and J make it for one good band (as £100 is not much cut up between two or more bands), and to be open to-Chrisrchurch bands only..
