Schoolroom, when there was a good attendance. Special exhibitions of glass blowing are being arranged at the glass works during the Royal visit. The anniversary services in connection Avith the North belt Presbyterian Church Avill be conducted morning and evening tomorroAV by the Rev. J. Kennedy Elliott, 8.A., Moderator of the Presbyterian General Assembly, and collections will be made at each service in aid of the building, funds of ths new church. I' On Tuesday afternoon ihb • foundation stone of the nenr church for the North belt Presbyterian congregation wil be laid by tUfe .Worship the Mayor, Mr A. E. G. Rhodes. The Rev. J. K. Elliot, Moderator of the Assembly, will preside on the occasion, and conduct the devotional exercises, and addresses will be delivered by the Revs. Dr. Elmslie and Dr. Erwin. A collection will be made on behalf of the building fund. In the evening a tea and concert will be held in the Canterbury Hall, and an excellent programme of music has been arranged by Mr H. M. Johnson, among the performers being Misses Beasley and Packer, ijjessrs Millar, Collier, and Searell, and Dr. Crooke. The Revs. J. K. Elliott and J. McKenzie will also give short addresses. Tickets for the tea and ooncert may *ba obtained from Mr Fountain Barber, High street, and admission to tha ooncert only can be obtained at the doors. The proceeds are to be devoted to the new church building fund, and a large prathering is anticipated. At St. Mitthew- Oh _rcih, St. Albans, on Sunday next, a church parade of the Sons and Daughters of Temperance. (Elim DiA-is-ion) will take place at 11 a.m., when the Vicar will preach a special temperance sermon. "The Earth, the Sun and Moon" will be the special subject of the lecture by .Mr W. W. Collins in his course of Astronomical lectures in the Lyceum to-morrow. The old boys of Christ's College will meet in the room of the Chamber of Commerce on Saturday next, at-8 p.m., to meet Mr C, C. Corfe, formerly the headmaster of the school, on his return from Australia. The annual social of the Riccarton Liberal Association avi'U be held at Hobbs's Buildings on Thursday next. A meetjfng of women teachers will be held to-day at 10.30 a.m. at the City Hall. Mr H. G. Ell, M.H.R., will address the electors of Christchurch on Wednesday next, when the Mayor will preside. In addition to a reference to the work of last session, Mr Ell will speak on the programme of the neAv Liberal Party.
