At the Education Board yesterday letters were read from the Education Department asking tbe Board to co-operate with School Committee* in giving the school children an opporttinitv of taking part, in the wdoorae te their Royal Highnesses; also stating that. Education Boards will be included in a Bill indemnifying local bodies for expenditure incurred ; also sues.sting the assembly of children to receive the meraage announcing the arrival of tho Duke and Duchess of Cornwall rjid York. Tho Board decided to agree to the requests mad?, and also instructed the Chairman and Secretary to expend any amount not exceeding £50* for the purpose" of entertaining tha children present at the reception of their Royal Highnesses. It was further resolved to dissolve the committee set up by the Board to deal with the nuttier, the Chairman and Secretary being members of tho Children's Committee set up by the Royal visit Executive.
