(Australian Star is a four-year-old son oi Australian i'eer and Colours, w-uo was scut to Kng.and fiom New South Wales last season by A!r Spencer Gollan. Australian Star was amongst the competitors in several of the back end handicaps, but; this marks his first success in any race.) TARANAKI J.C.'S AUTUMN MEETING. After final payments the following remain in the Taranaki Cup, of 350 soys; one mile and a half—Coronet Ost, Tortuua Bst 'lib, iiattleaxe 7st li)lb, Materoa 7st Bib, Will-o'-the-Wisp 7st 3lb, Legion of Honour 6at nib.
