THE KAISER HASTENS TO THE SCENE.
(Receiv-d January 22nd, 1.57 a.m.) (Delayed in trasmission.) LONDON, January 21. The Kaiser, on starting for England, remarked—"l ani her eldest grandson. My mother is unable through illness to hasten to the Queen's bedside." Th-e Berlin correspondent of "The Times" says that the Kaiser's prompt decision created a profound impression, and is regarded as fresh evidence of intense personal devotion to the Queen. All Germans agree that- it is natural, fitting, and right, inasmuch as filial duty is one of tho traditions of the palace and the cottage. The London crowd greeted the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York, and the Kaiser with silence and hu_ied respect. (Received January 22nd, 2.5 a.m.)
