DREDGING RETURNS.
(PBESS ASSOCIATION , TELEGRAMS.) GREYMOUTH, January 20. The Grey. River, dredge, 370z lOdwt for 137 hours' work; Waipuna, 16oz 17dwt, for 113 hours' work. REEFTON, January 20. The ttuller Junction dredge, on the Buller river, was officially started and taken over from the contractors to-day. Mr Free (chairman of directors) and a number of shareholders were oresent. The machinery worked splendidly. The dredge was christened "Victoria," in the orthodox rnanneT. At a dinner afterwards, the Queen and appropriate toasts were honoured. The dredge, one of Cutten's, is one of the best in the colony, and is wonderfully strong and powerful. It cost about £8000.
