WISDEN COMPETITION.
The Teturn match between Linwood A i\nd Papaimi B was played on the latter's grounds, Papanui winning by 14 runs on the first innings. The chief scorers were;— For Papauui, L. Ford ]G, Derrett 11, and A. Hobbs 9 not out for Linwood. McClelland and Brown, for Papanui, and Forsyth, for Linwood, being trusted with the bowling. The match Marshlands A v Rivals B played at Sydenham Park on Saturday, resulted in a win for Rivala B by 29 runs. Scores— Marshlands 63 (Colville 14 and W. J. Walters 17 not out), Rivals 92 (Jackson 21, Davis 16, and Leichenganor 10). Bealand and H. Petrie for Rivals and Kerr for Marshlands were the moat successful bowlers.
