Bowen returned from Wellington by the Talune on Saturday. The Rev. Father Goggan returned from Wellington by the Talune. Captain Sutherland was a passenger from Wellington by the same steamer. Captains Cosgrove and Andrews were passengers from Wellington by the Tarawera yesterday. Dr. Reid, of Timaru, arrived in town on Saturday morning. Mr Morrison, M.H.R., left Christchurch for Dunedin on Saturday. The Hon. Major Steward was a passenger by the same train. Dr. J. W. Maclaren, of Glasgow, arrived in town yesterday. Mr Emil .Sander, Sydney, is in town. Mr J. Y. Campbell arrived from Sydney on Saturday. Mr W. C. Fowler, London, j« in town.
Mr and Mrs C. B. Westmacott arrived from Sydney on Saturday. Mr Peter Britz, Sydney, is in town.
