A PLUCKY LITTLE VILLAGE.
RESISTS FOR FIVE DAYS. THE ENEMY FORCED TO RETIRE. (Received January 20th 4.52 a.m.) LONDON, January 19. The Boers surrounded Danielskuil, a village of-1500 inhabitants, in the Griqualand West district, on the sth, and attacked the place for five days, threatening that unless it was surrendered they would destroy all the houses, including the shelters of women and children flying the white flag. The Boers ultimately withdrew to Rietfontein.
